Cancellation Requests

Cancellation requests must be received by email at least 14 days prior to the seminar start date for a full refund. Restrictions apply for wire transfers and certain programs – please contact us for more information.

Cancellation requests received less than 14 days prior to the seminar start date are not eligible for refunds but a transfer can be requested – see Transfer Requests below.

Transfer requests

Transfer requests must be received by email before the seminar start date and are subject to a $295 CAD transfer fee. After a full payment by credit card of the transfer fee, the “credit” can be applied to any seminar within 12 months of the original seminar start date (price difference may apply). Note that after a transfer, no refunds or cancellations are permitted. However, participants may send a qualified substitute in their place at no charge.

Forfeit Fee

If a participant gives no notice prior to the seminar start date and/or fails to show up, the full fee will be forfeited as of the first day of the program.

“Credit” from an uncompleted Transfer Request will be automatically forfeited after 12 months of the original seminar start date.

What is the Seminar Cancellation Policy?

The McGill Executive Institute reserves the right to cancel a program for any reason up to two weeks before the start date. In the unlikely event of a course cancellation, paid program fees will be refunded in full, but the Institute is not responsible for any travel or other related expenses incurred by the registrant.

Note on wire transfer refunds

If a learning service at the McGill Executive Institute is purchased by wire transfer, any applicable refund must be made back to the original source and location of the wire transfer.
