Registering

Online
To register online, from the seminar page please click the "Add to Cart" button next to the dates desired, and then enter the required information. At the “Payment Method” section, you can select either Credit Card or Other (which then enables you to request an invoice).

Please provide us the following details at registration time;

  • Prefix - Mr., Mrs., Dr. or Prof.
  • Full Participant Name
  • Participant Company – Printed on the participant name plate
  • Participant Job title – Used to build seminar teams with different backgrounds
  • Participant Company Address
  • Business Phone and/or Cellphone Number
  • Email address – Seminar communication and registration confirmation will be sent to this email address
  • Food allergies (for in-person programs only) – List or confirm if None or Unknown
  • Payment Method – Credit Card, Company Cheque, Personal Cheque, Invoice (clarify with or without PO)

You must provide these further details only if you require a formal invoice

  • Billing Contact Name
  • Billing Contact Phone
  • Billing Contact Email – Supply email if you desire the invoice to be emailed
  • Billing Company – If different from participant’s
  • Billing Address – Only if you require a different Company Address on the invoice
  • PO # – If required by your organization

The McGill Executive Institute reserves the right to request and review past occupational, academic and/or linguistic experience to decide if a candidate meets requirements for admission to any of its open enrollment courses.

Payments

Credit Card
You may pay online with a personal or corporate credit card. Your position in the program is confirmed only when the card has been successfully debited.

Wire Transfer*
Wire transfers are accepted – please contact our customer service team at executive@mcgill.ca for the banking details. It is the responsibility of the participant to supply us with a banking confirmation. Your seat in the seminar is confirmed only when the wire transfer has been verified by our accounting team.

*Certain payment restrictions apply for international payments – please contact us at executive@mcgill.ca for more information.

Invoice Request
The McGill Executive Institute can invoice your company or organization directly. Note that following a McGill University Policy, we do not issue a formal invoice if less than 30 days prior to the seminar start date; however, a billing summary can be supplied upon request. Your seat in the seminar is confirmed only when the invoice has been paid as verified by our accounting team.

Payment must be received in full 2 weeks before the start of the seminar. Your position in the program is confirmed only when payment has been verified by our accounting team.

The Registration Fee includes tuition, seminar supplies, meal service (breakfast, lunch and breaks) and a certificate of completion from the McGill Executive Institute. The fee is subject to the taxes of the province in which the program is delivered.

Cancellation requests
Cancellation requests must be received by email at least 14 days prior to the seminar start date for a full refund. Restrictions apply for international payments and certain programs – please contact us for more information.

Cancellation requests received less than 14 days prior to the seminar start date are not subject to refunds but a transfer can be requested – see Transfer Requests below.

Transfer requests
If a participant wishes to transfer to another seminar, a transfer request must be sent by email to executive@mcgill.ca. Transfer requests received at least 14 days prior to the seminar start date are completed at no charge. Transfer requests received less than 14 days prior to the seminar start date are subject to a $295 CAD transfer fee, payable by credit card. Once a transfer request is approved, and we have received full payment of the transfer fee (where applicable), the “credit” can be applied to any seminar within 12 months of the original seminar start date (price difference may apply). Note that after a transfer, no refunds, cancellations or additional transfers are permitted; however, participants may send a qualified substitute in their place at no charge.

Forfeit Fee

If a participant gives no notice prior to the seminar start date and/or fails to show up, the full fee will be forfeited as of the first day of the program.
“Credit” from an uncompleted Transfer Request will be automatically forfeited after 12 months of the original seminar start date.

Note on Wire Transfers
If a learning service at the McGill Executive Institute is purchased for by wire transfer, any applicable refund must be made back to the original source and location of the wire transfer.

The McGill Executive Institute reserves the right to cancel a program for any reason up to two weeks before the start date. In the unlikely event of a course cancellation, paid program fees will be refunded in full, but the Institute is not responsible for any travel or other related expenses accrued by the registrant.

Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted. The E-payment option is available when you register online.

Since our seminars are management development seminars and not credited courses, we do not remit tax forms. We suggest you to discuss with your accountant if you wish to claim the tuition fees in your income tax. If necessary, we can send you a copy of the tuition fee receipt.

Note that our programs are certified for Quebec’s 1% training obligation and the McGill Executive Institute is a qualified training provider under the Canada-Ontario Job Grant.

Our registration number with the Quebec Ministry of Education, Leisure and Sport is # 979000.

Further instructions will be sent by email approximately 14 days prior to the seminar start date. If there is any pre-seminar work to be completed, it will also be sent at this time.

You will receive a Certificate of Completion from the McGill Executive Institute, stating your name, seminar title and date.

In order to reduce surface contact and paper waste, there will be a very limited number of handouts. Therefore, it is recommended that all participants bring their own electronic device in order to access materials in e-copy format.

In compliance with McGill University Smoking Policy, smoking or vaping is not permitted in our facilities. You may choose to go outside in the designated areas for smoking/vaping.

Our participants tend to dress business casual. We do recommend, however, that you dress in layers, as not everyone feels comfortable at the same room temperature.
